Often hear about IPS, VA, and TN panels. What's the difference between them?

A: These are the core technologies of a display, determining the essential "quality" of the image.
IPS Panel: Advantages: Accurate colors and wide viewing angles. The image looks consistent even when viewed from the side. It's the top choice for graphic design, photo editing, and general office work. Disadvantages: Can sometimes have slight backlight bleeding, and its response time is slightly slower than TN (though imperceptible to most users).
VA Panel: Advantages: High contrast ratio, which means deeper blacks and better distinction between dark shades. This provides a great sense of image depth, making it ideal for watching movies. It's also the most common technology used for curved monitors. Disadvantages: Has the slowest response time among the three, which can lead to more noticeable motion blur or ghosting in fast-moving scenes (generally not a major issue for casual gamers).
TN Panel: Advantages: Extremely fast response times and typically lower cost. This makes it the specialized choice for hardcore competitive gamers where every millisecond counts. Disadvantages: Poor color reproduction and narrow viewing angles. Colors shift and the screen appears darker when viewed from even slight angles.
In summary: Choose IPS for the best all-around experience, VA for movie watching and high contrast, and TN only if you are a competitive gazer prioritizing maximum speed above all else.
